Give a Bone
#1 – Georgia Bulldogs
The Bulldogs are loaded at the running position. Freshmen superstar Nick Chubb returns after rushing for over 1500 yards and averaging 7+ yards per carry. The return of a healthy Sony Michel and Nick Chubb give the Bulldogs three ultra-talented former five star tailbacks. All three are complete backs with homerun capability. The Bulldogs could have two 1000 yard backs and another rush for 500+.
#2 – Tennessee Volunteers
Big sophomore Jalen Hurd returns for the Vols in 2015 healthy and looking poised to put together a big season. Hurd is a unique talent with an excellent combination of speed and power. He will benefit in a big way from the arrival of JC superstar Alvin Kamara. Kamara is a special back with game-changing potential that will allow Hurd to stay fresh and pound defenses late in the game.
#3 – Arkansas Razorbacks
The Hogs return Jonathan Williams and Alex Collins who both went over 1000+ yards last season. They bring different skill sets that compliment each other incredibly well. Williams is shifty and make the highlight runs look routine while Collins is a punisher that wears down the defense. Both should go for 1000+ once again 2015.
#4 – LSU Tigers
Leonard Fournette may be the most physically gifted running back in the SEC and is a future Top 10 NFL Draft pick. His combination of size, speed, power and vision is truly special. A 2000 yard season is not out of the question for Fournette if the Tigers choose to ride him. Big sophomore Darrell Williams can punish the opposition and true freshmen Guice and Brossett look the part of early contributors.
#5 – Alabama Crimson Tide
Derrick Henry is an absolute monster. To be 6'3 245 pounds and run the way he does is not fair. He is extremely powerful with breakaway speed but has to prove he consistently keep balance and run through tackles down around his legs. If Kenyan Drake is truly 100% he is a game changer as maybe the fastest running back in the SEC and one of the pass catchers out of the backfield. If Bo Scarborough were healthy the Tide would be higher on this list.
