#1 – Ole Miss Rebels

The Rebels come into 2015 with the best defensive line in the SEC and the best individual defensive lineman. Robert Nkiemdiche is a superstar that can play anywhere along the defensive line and wreak havoc.  Add in Marquis Haynes flying off the edge and Fadol Brown, Channing Ward and D.J. Jones and you have an experienced, proven and formidable defensive line.

#2 – Alabama Crimson Tide

Alabama has the deepest group of defensive lineman in the SEC.  The many years of landing the top recruiting class in the nation have really paid off up front.  A'Shawn Robinson has the look of a star defensive tackle in 2015 while Jarran Reed should be able to help him make it very difficult to run up the middle.  The development of Da'Shawn Hand and Jonathan Allen on the edge could make this unit elite.

#3 – Tennessee Volunteers

With the tandem of Derek Barnett and Curt Maggitt on the edge the Volunteers have the best pass rushing defensive line in the SEC.  The question marks come up the middle but with the addition of freshmen phenom Kahlil McKenzie (6'4 340) and Shy Tuttle that should help the Vols line in a major way.

#4 – Mississippi State Bulldogs

Mississippi State returns a deep, experienced and strong defensive line.  Chris Jones is the best player of the group but Ryan Brown, Nelson Adams and A.J. Jefferson are stout.  This group of Bulldogs loves physical play and if you don't come ready to play they will whip you.  This unit may end up being underrated.

#5 – Auburn Tigers

The Tigers will miss Gabe Wright's presence in the middle but the return of Carl Lawson to rush the passer and Montravius Adams poised to have a monster season these Tigers can hunt.  The growth of DaVonte Lambert and incoming 5-star freshmen gives this unit a chance to be very disruptive.
